However, no matter how closely the overall design resembles the genuine article, there's one part where mishandling it can render all our efforts meaningless.

That's the "center cap."

Many excellent aftermarket wheels proudly display their brand logo at the center. But for the genuine R32 style we cherish, an unfamiliar logo becomes a strong "noise." No matter how beautiful the spokes are, if the center cap asserts an aftermarket brand, it instantly gives off the vibe of a "custom car with aftermarket parts."

The decision to make the "cap itself" with our own hands

That's why we at GENUINE TREND REPRODUCTION (GTR) decided not only to design the wheel body but also to reproduce ("repro") the "center cap itself" with our own hands.

Instead of simply telling owners to "reuse your old genuine caps," we wanted to take responsibility for perfecting the "R32 essence" down to the last few centimeters in the center, with our own hands.

However, reproducing this small disc was a more arduous task than imagined. We had to recreate the exquisite curve, surface texture, and above all, "that familiar appearance" of the original cap. And then, we had to perfectly fit it, without any misalignment, into the center of the new 18-inch wheel, which had changed in thickness and angle.

• Pursuit of perfect flushness: When the cap is fitted, we adjusted the mold in 0.1mm increments so that the line receding from the spokes towards the center precisely matches the curve of the cap without any steps or gaps.

• New luster and seamless integration: Because the new caps are reproduced with the same passion as the wheel body, there is absolutely no discrepancy in color or texture, creating an overwhelming sense of unity, just like a new car.
